The Mindful Morning is a regular offering and will evolve over time. Each session will include a mixture of gentle yoga, breathwork and mindfulness work and can be tailored the the groups needs.
Come and join Kate who is the owner of Greenstone Retreat, and a qualified and experienced yoga teacher and group facilitator who is looking forward to guiding and sharing with you.
Comfortable clothing, water bottle and a journal will be needed. If you have a blanket, yoga mat and any other healing or comfort tools you need, please bring them. There are some yoga mats, eye pillows and blankets to use as needed.

1st and 2nd February with Claire of Light Academy

This is a 2 day workshop for Reiki 1. Set to the standards required by Reiki NZ Inc, this comprehensive course gives you all you need to enable you to give Reiki to yourself, your food, water, friends, pets, loved ones and anything else you can think of. Certificate and manual included.💖👌

Reiki is the healing power of the Universal Life Force, it is energy and it is all around us. Imagine having the power to heal with your hands! Reiki 1 will give you just that. You will receive 4 attunements during the course, which will enable you to become a channel for Reiki energy. 🙏💖

The course will take place from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. You will need to bring a light lunch and warm clothes. Herbal teas and biscuits will be provided for breaktimes. There are cooking facilities available on site.👌😎

Friday: Grounding and Intention Setting

4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Arrival and Welcome

Settle in, connect with fellow participants, and explore the retreat space.

6:00 PM – 7:30 PM: Potluck Shared Dinner

7:30 PM – 9:00 PM: Intention setting. Set your Sankalpa (intention) for the retreat, followed by a live Kirtan and chanting to celebrate with Amy Cunningham

Saturday: Creativity and Connection

8:30 AM – 9:45 AM: Hatha Yoga and Meditation

A revitalizing yoga practice to awaken the body and mind, ending with guided meditation.

11:15 AM – 1:00 PM: Seasonal Cycles, Vision Boards, meditation

8:00 PM: Discussion: Intermittent Fasting and Wellness

Explore the benefits of intermittent fasting and mindful eating habits. End the evening with chanting, Soothing Sound Healing and sharing circle.

Sunday: Reflection and Renewal

Morning: Intermittent Fasting

Experience mindful fasting until brunch with cacao.

9am Start your day with journaling to reflect and focus your energy. This will be in your own chosen place before we meet at 10am.

10:00 AM – 11:15 AM: Yin Yoga and Meditation

A gentle practice focused on releasing tension, finding balance, and connecting with the winter’s introspective energy.

11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Cacao Ceremony and Breathwork

Open your heart and break your fast with ceremonial cacao with Kate followed by chakra tune up chanting and explore deep emotional release through guided Breathwork with Steve.

1:00 PM: Lunch Provided

A warming, grounding vegetarian meal to refuel your body.

1:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Free Time

Relax, journal, book a massage (additional $) or enjoy a quiet moment in nature.

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra

Kate
Owner and “fairy godmother” of Greenstone Retreat, Kate will be your main host for the weekend. As a Level 2 yoga teacher trainer with a wealth of experience and an open heart, Kate is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing space for growth, reflection, and connection. She will hold space for participants throughout the retreat and guide them through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices that will leave you feeling rebalanced and recharged.

Steve Page
Steve is a compassionate and experienced mental health nurse with a deep understanding of the mind-body connection. After our cacao ceremony and breaking our fast Steve will lead a practice of chakra tune-up using your voice, helping you align and balance your energy centres. He will also facilitate a session on powerful Wim Hof-style breathwork, an invigorating and transformative experience designed to connect you with your inner strength and resilience.

Amy Cunningham

Amy is a talented musician and musical wellness coach who brings her passion for music and healing to the retreat. Her soulful presence and extensive experience as a singer-songwriter make her a unique guide for our celebration with sound, chanting and kirtan. Amy will lead a session on musical exploration and contribute to the harmonious, uplifting atmosphere of the weekend.


Together, this team of skilled facilitators will provide a weekend of transformation, connection, and inspiration as you transition from summer to winter with grace and balance.
